Sun Bowl
The Sun Bowl is the scene of the nationally televised collegiate gridiron classic of the same name. It's also home to the UTEP Miners Football team - UTEP Athletics. For large venues, the Sun Bowl is equal to many of America's large stadiums, with 51,000 seats and 30 wheel chair spaces.
Past performances include The Rolling Stones Voodoo Lounge Tour, U2's Zoo TV Tour, Pink Floyd World Tour, Ricky Martin, Pace Motor Sports Monster Trucks, two Dallas Cowboy Scrimmage contests, and Oscar De La Hoya.

Driving Directions to Sun Bowl Stadium
From Interstate 10:
Take the Schuster/Sun Bowl exit (18A) and take Sun Bowl drive. If you are exiting from the east you will go straight through the light. If you are exiting from the west you will turn left at the light. Follow Sun Bowl Drive, past University Ave. and you will pass Dawson road on the right. It leads to the South end of the Sun Bowl and the Tunnel entrance to the field. If you continue on Sun Bowl Drive you will next pass a small parking lot on your right which is for the Press Box , Captain's Club, and West side handicap access. Shortly after that you will come to a 3-way intersection of Sun Bowl and Glory Road; turn right here to get to the north entrance (usually the main entrance for events) of the Sun Bowl Stadium.
From Mesa (coming from the west):
Turn right at the intersection of Mesa and Sun Bowl Drive.(If you turn left you will be on Mesita, not Sun Bowl). Following Sun Bowl Drive, you will pass the Don Haskins Center on your left and then come to the 3-way stop of Sun Bowl and Glory Road. Turn left here to get to the north entrance (usually the main entrance for events) of the Sun Bowl Stadium. If you continue straight on Sun Bowl Drive you will next pass a small parking lot on your left which is for the Press Box, Captain's Club, and West side handicap access. Just down the hill from this parking lot you will come to Dawson Rd. on the left; it leads to the South end of the Sun Bowl and the Tunnel entrance to the field.
From Mesa (coming from downtown):
Turn left on Glory Road. At the 3-way stop turn right, staying on Glory Road. You will pass the north entrance(usually the main entrance for events) of the Sun Bowl Stadium on the left. Immediately after this Baltimore intersects with Sun Bowl Drive. Turn left and you will next pass a small parking lot on your left which is for the Press Box , Captain's Club, and West side handicap access. Just down the hill from this parking lot you will come to Dawson Rd. on the left; it leads to the South end of the Sun Bowl and the Tunnel entrance to the field.
